AWS DATA PLATFORM LEAD ENGINEER

• Lead the design of scalable, secure and cost-effective Data Lake House (DLH) applications on AWS for the AI and Data Department
• Oversee the deployment, configuration and management of AWS services and understand the AWS infrastucture
• Cross-domain knowledge: deep understanding of the IT domains connected to AWS
• Design and perform developments on YettelHU AWS
• Support the operation team in Implementing and maintaining automation tools and alerts for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and stability
• Optimize cloud applications for achieving better performance
• Ensure the implementation of best practices for security and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team, guiding them in best practices
• Foster culture of continuous learning and lead the Yettel’s AWS Competence Center team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Data Science, BI Development team, key stakeholders
• Drive innovation by exploring new cloud services, technologies and methodologies
• Responsible for the formation of long-term vision/ application level domain architecture of DLH
• Responsible for the lifecycle management and roadmap of the components or applications of AWS, aligned with the business and IT strategy priorities

YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR OUR TEAM IF YOU HAVE/ARE

• College/University degree or 10+ years’ experience
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a strong AWS focus
• Deep expertise in AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• DataOps knowledge with CI/CD and orchestration tools
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and integrating data from diverse sources using SQL, Python, and Spark
• Knowledge and understanding of data storing and AI/ML technical requirements on AWS
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• At least 2 years in a technical supervisory role
• Understands Business and IT priorities
• Leadership, communication and knowledge sharing skill (Hungarian and English)
• Capable to translate and present complex IT solutions to support management decisions
• Understanding and applying a cloud-agnostic mindset
