We are seeking a motivated

Business Intelligence & Process Improvement Specialist

to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of our business intelligence solutions and processes in our Value Chain Management devision. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong analytical background and a keen interest in transforming data into actionable insights.

Scope of the position:

As a Business Intelligence & Process Improvement Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, implementation, and enhancement of business processes and tools. You will assist in managing projects, liaise with stakeholders across various functions, and contribute to the strategic development of our business intelligence systems.

Your tasks will be:

Process Oversight: Support the planning, implementation, optimization, and measurement of business processes to drive operational excellence.

Tool and Model Management: Assist in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business tools, ensuring consistency and harmonization.

Model Maintenance: Coordinate and perform model maintenance, prepare development plans, monitor implementation, and ensure data and model result accuracy.

System Improvement Proposals: Develop proposals for system enhancements and oversee the testing and introduction of new techniques, tools, and processes.

IT Coordination: Manage IT hardware maintenance, software hosting, backup strategy definition, and installation tasks for linear programming software.

IT Project Involvement: Participate in IT projects, contribute to system maintenance and development, and support strategic planning efforts.

Regulatory Compliance: Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing relevant regulations.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor processes and system performance, provide insights, and suggest improvements.

Strategic Vision Contribution: Contribute to the formulation and communication of strategic vision for supply, planning, and optimization applications in alignment with business needs and industry best practices.

Business Analysis: Collect and prioritize business requirements, conduct business analysis, and create functional specifications.

Software Portfolio Management: Manage the software portfolio, acting as a bridge between end users, IT, and third-party support.

Required Qualifications:

Education: MSc in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Skills:

Strong analytical and mathematical background.

Excellent interpersonal skills for effective project and stakeholder management.

Familiarity with self-service business intelligence reporting and data modeling practices.

Proficiency in functional specification writing and translating business needs into precise requirements for developers.

Experience with Microsoft technologies such as MS Excel (VBA), Power BI (DAX), Power Query, PowerPivot, SQL, Office applications

Language: Advanced level of English, both written and verbal.

Advantages:

Experience as a Product Owner in an agile development environment.

Experience with master data governance, master data management, data cleaning, and data quality assurance.

Knowledge of statistical inference/machine learning methods and related tools.
