Scope of the position:
As the Business Intelligence & Process Owner Expert in the Energy Trading and Risk Management process (ETRM), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our business intelligence solutions and related processes. You will manage projects and liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, including end-users, developers, IT professionals, and management. Your strategic oversight will drive the planning, implementation, and optimization of business processes and advanced tools.
Your tasks will be:
Strategic Oversight: Lead the planning, implementation, optimization, and measurement of business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Advanced Tool and Model Management: Coordinate the development and maintenance of advanced tools and models, ensuring consistency and harmonization across business operations.
Comprehensive Model Maintenance: Oversee complex model maintenance, prepare development plans, monitor implementation, and ensure data and model result accuracy.
System Innovation: Propose and oversee significant system improvements, including testing and implementing innovative techniques, tools, and processes.
IT Strategy and Coordination: Manage IT hardware maintenance, software hosting, backup strategy, and installation of linear programming software.
IT Project Leadership: Drive IT projects, perform maintenance and development of IT systems, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Regulatory Supervision: Supervise the development, updating, and enforcement of regulations related to IT and business processes.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor process and system performance, provide insights, and recommend improvements.
Strategic Vision Formulation: Formulate and communicate the strategic vision for supply, planning, and optimization applications aligned with business needs and industry best practices.
Business Requirements Management: Collect and prioritize business requirements, conduct advanced business analysis, and create detailed functional specifications.
Software Portfolio Management: Manage the software portfolio, acting as a liaison between end-users, IT, and third-party support.
Required Qualifications:
Education: MSc in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence, IT systems management, process ownership or a similar role.
Skills:
Strong analytical/mathematical background.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective project and stakeholder management.
Knowledge of advanced self-service business intelligence reporting and data modeling practices.
Good knowledge in Microsoft programming languages & technologies such as Power BI, Power Query / M, PowerPivot / DAX, MS Access, SQL, T-SQL, VBA, Excel 2013+.
Experience in writing functional specifications and translating business needs into precise requirements.
Language: Advanced level of English, both written and verbal.
Advantages:
Good knowledge of energy trading and risk management processes and tools (ETRM)
Good knowledge of financial processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial calculations, including their interconnections and impacts.
Experience working in agile development environments
Familiarity with master data governance, master data management, data cleaning, and data quality assurance.
Basic knowledge of statistical inference and machine learning methods and related tools is an advantage
