As a Category Manager you will be responsible for managing specific categories of direct materials, supporting the development of procurement strategies, and driving category strategies through the procurement team. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Secure and drive supply of direct materials for manufacturing and R&D
Manage end-to-end procurement of assigned direct material categories, including spend analysis, supplier management, risk assessment, contract negotiation, and relationship building.
Serve as the primary escalation point for direct material issues within your responsibility
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to proactively resolve supply challenges
Independently understand and address global stakeholder needs for assigned categories
Lead sourcing and onboarding of new materials and suppliers
Initiate, manage, and support cost savings and efficiency projects globally and locally
Negotiate and implement contracts and amendments
Monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance Elvárások / Requirements
Approximately 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry with a focus on supply chain management and procurement of direct materials. Experience with raw materials management, manufacturing, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and budgeting is essential.
