We are seeking a
Group DS Category Manager
to join our team and play a crucial role in optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and supporting key maintenance and construction projects
in the insulation, corrosion protection, and sealing industries.
What You’ll Do
As a Group DS Category Manager, you will:
Lead cross-functional Category Working Groups and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders.
Develop and implement category strategies for shutdowns, turnarounds, and other construction-related activities.
Manage supplier selection, contracting, and performance to ensure cost savings, quality, and supply continuity.
Work closely with maintenance departments to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and innovations in corrosion protection, sealing, and insulation.
Contribute to demand planning, long lead item assessments, and project execution in a fast-paced environment.
Act as a project-oriented manager rather than a traditional procurement expert, ensuring smooth execution of construction and maintenance projects.
What You’ll Need
To excel in this role, you should have:
5+ years Experience in construction services or a related field (civil engineering, project management, or procurement).
A background in engineering (civil or mechanical) or relevant commercial experience.
Strong commercial skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
Knowledge of insulation, corrosion protection, sealing technologies, and maintenance practices.
Procurement experience is highly valued, but candidates with a background in construction companies or project management will be a great fit.
A proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to drive projects from planning to execution.
Familiarity with SAP or other procurement systems is a plus.
