About BYD Auto Hungary

On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Customs Clearance Operation Specialist to join our Procurement team.  

 ,

• Manage material shipments throughout the process, including the following work content:
• Handle company department delivery plans (CN-EU) and requirements, and set schedule;
• Transmit the transportation material information included in the delivery plan to the customs clearance agency, and collect additional information from the company's internal departments according to the requirements of the customs broker; 
• Check whether the HScode classification opinions provided by the customs clearance agency are reasonable; whether they are consistent with the opinions provided by the company; 
• Confirm whether the EU import restrictions provided by the customs clearance agency are completed.
• Output classification opinions and restrictions to the internal department, and confirm that department prepares relevant documents;
• Confirm the cargo shipping information and transmit all customs clearance information to the customs broker;
• Update the shipping status on daily basis, and compile monthly delivery information on monthly basis, and deliver the cleared data for filing.

• Bachelor degree or above;
• Able to use English as the main working and communication language;Candidates with a proficiency in Chinese will be given preference.
• Candidates with customs clearance experience are preferred;
• Have an understanding of customs affairs, and understand the customs clearance process and document requirements of the EU or other contries customs;
• Have good time planning and coordination skills, and be able to manage the progress of the projects he/she is responsible for;
• Have a general understanding in HScode classification, and have experience in manufacturing import and export declaration, able to understand the incoterms;
• Processing trade/Vihecle industry work experience is preferred.

• Previous experience with customs clearance or logistics in the automotive or manufacturing industries;
• Familiarity with EU-specific import/export procedures or similar regulatory experience in international trade;
• Proficiency in multiple languages, especially those relevant to key trading regions;
• Knowledge of Incoterms, HS Code classifications, and customs regulations for specialized products;
