Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
Set the vision and long-term roadmap for the development and enhancement of the Data Lake and BI solutions of Digital Factory. You will drive the alignment of data strategies with business goals, ensuring that data-driven innovation remains a core part of the business transformation journey. As a key advisor to senior leadership, you will provide insights and envision practical opportunities to shape the company’s competitive advantage across all markets.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead a talented team of 7 data professionals, consisting of BI Developers and Data Lake Product Owners. You will be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture, encouraging collaboration, and supporting continuous learning. By coaching and mentoring your team, you will ensure they have the necessary skills to tackle both current challenges and future growth opportunities.
Governance & Standardization:
Implement governance frameworks that ensure consistency and best practices across all Data Lake and BI initiatives. Your role will be crucial in setting the standards for BI development, which will not only serve MOL Group but also set the benchmark for Digital Factory’s external partners and clients outside of MOL Group. This includes developing policies and processes for efficient data utilization, ensuring data accuracy, and building trust in the data across business units.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Upskilling:
Work closely with leaders across diverse business departments, such as Marketing, Operations, and Offer Management, to promote data democratization and effective usage. You will lead initiatives that upskill internal teams on data and reporting solutions, empowering them to independently use data for decision-making. Your efforts will be pivotal in integrating data insights seamlessly into everyday business processes, driving business innovation and operational efficiency.
BI Reporting & Dashboard Strategy:
Take ownership of the strategic development of reporting frameworks and interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. You'll be responsible for ensuring that KPI strategies are clearly defined for each business unit and that reporting tools are designed to enhance decision-making. By establishing a transparent process for managing new reporting requests, you’ll enable the business to respond quickly to emerging needs.
Project Management & Resource Optimization:
Oversee the management of resources, timelines, and budgets for Data Lake and BI projects. You will ensure that all projects are aligned with MOL Group’s strategic goals and deliver measurable business impact. This includes coordinating a versatile pool of resources, like Product Owners, BI developers, data engineers, including external vendors, to deliver high-quality solutions within the allocated budget and timelines. Driving Innovation & Cultural Transformation:
Act as a catalyst for change by promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the business users. You will lead efforts to identify new ways of leveraging data for business innovation and operational improvements. Your leadership will inspire the team to adopt cutting-edge data visualization techniques and pilot new analytics solutions that keep MOL Group at the forefront of digital transformation.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, both internal and external. You'll ensure that the Data Lake and BI solutions meet their business needs and align with long-term goals. Additionally, you will manage relationships with strategic vendors to drive innovation and cost-efficiency, ensuring the organization is leveraging the best available tools and services.
Technical Infrastructure & Architecture Development:
Collaborate with IT teams and Data Architects to shape the future architecture of the Data Lake and BI reporting infrastructure. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the technical solutions are scalable, future-proof, and able to support emerging technologies and evolving business needs.
Risk Management & Data Integrity:
Lead initiatives to identify and address gaps in the existing data landscape. You will be a key partner working with our data operations team to ensure data availability, reliability, and scalability to meet the dynamic needs of the business. By proactively managing risks and resolving issues, you will ensure that the data solutions are robust and trustworthy
Main requirements:
5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI solutions, or IT project management in a multinational or consulting environment.
Leadership in managing cross-functional teams and building data strategies that drive business transformation.
Project management, stakeholder engagement, and possess a strong business acumen.
Familiar with (but not necessarily an expert in) data visualization tools, like Power BI, Tableau, and database systems such as MS SQL or Hadoop.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Central Eastern European languages is an advantage.
