A strong analytical capability led by the Group Data Analytics team within Digital Factory is a crucial element of the successful digital transformation.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Data Lake Product Owner to join Digital Factory. The new team member will be responsible for the improvement and maintenance of the Data Lake solution in order to maximize its business value across the Retail organization. This includes the identification and prioritization of new, business value driving features as well as the necessary technological improvements. The Data Lake PO acts as the single point of contact for business stakeholders regarding Data Lake capabilities, new demands, rollout plans and releases.
Main responsibilities
Develop, own, and execute the product roadmap in alignment with the Tribe and Digital Factory strategy.
Translate the product roadmap features into detailed product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with parallel teams, and timely delivery of incremental features.
Manage product development budgets, balancing resource needs and financial constraints, and align with vendors as needed.
Drive product delivery, coordinating and evaluating relevant vendor contributions throughout the development lifecycle.
Define and monitor KPIs to measure progress and impact, using analytics to track results and inform decision-making.
Define improvement initiatives based on user feedback, user testing, and continuous performance measurement, and build an actionable customer feedback loop.
If applicable, manage and oversee group level business operations in collaboration with internal teams and vendors for owned products.
Anticipate business needs, industry and global trends, and cover shifting business requirements; be ready to accommodate the occasional moving target - facilitate MVP approach and run pilots if necessary.
Act as an internal advocate for the Digital Future of MOL by promoting practices such as design thinking and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities specific to this role
Oversee the integration of Data Lake with additional source systems, including further country rollouts; drive multi-business Data Lake projects as a business-side coordinator
Identify necessary data accuracy improvement measures and define actions to implement these
Ensure that Data Lake knowledge sharing principles are adhered to, and developments are appropriately documented
About your experience and skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is a plus)
Specialization in Business / Computer Science / Engineering
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience; preferably in top tier business consulting, or business / data analytics in a multinational environment
Experience in analyzing large datasets to gain insights and drive business decisions
Familiarity with agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development methods.
Professional Competencies
Expertise in business consulting and change management.
Solid project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and matrix environments.
Proven stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in data analytics, with excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong business acumen.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including proficiency in data visualization techniques.
Professional use of MS Office (including strong experience with PowerPoint)
Professional use of MS Project or similar project management tools.
Knowledge of MS Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
Knowledge of database systems and spreadsheet tools (MS SQL is a plus)
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
