About the Role
We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Medior Data Operations Expert to join Digital Factory.
An IT Operations Expert is a professional who specializes in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our main IT services (Salesforce and Data Lake). This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including the maintenance and monitoring of systems, assisting deployments, ensuring data security, and optimizing IT processes for reliability and efficiency. IT Operations Experts are critical in ensuring that Digital Factory’s technological systems are stable, secure, and capable of supporting business operations and objectives.
Data Operation Expert will also troubleshoot and resolve system issues, implement operational best practices, and will be involved in strategic planning and the scaling of IT infrastructure to meet future demands. The new team member will work closely with Data System Specialists and Data Software Engineers to ensure that the infrastructure is running smoothly and that any issues are addressed promptly.
Main Responsibilities
Monitor data infrastructure to ensure smooth operation.
Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Ensure data availability and accessibility for users.
Manage backups and disaster recovery processes.
Collaborate with Data Software Engineers and Data System Specialists to resolve issues and improve infrastructure performance.
Develop and maintain documentation for data infrastructure processes.
Follow agile methodology and the best practices of the digital engineering team.
About Your Experience and Skills
Education
University or college degree with specialization in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Certifications in database management or cloud computing are a plus.
Experience
3+ years of production support of SQL based data platforms.
2+ years of AWS/Azure PaaS preferred.
2+ years in scriptwriting using R, Python, PIG, HIVE, SQL, etc.
Databricks experience is an advantage.
Retail IT domain background is a plus.
Professional and Technical Competencies
Strong command of SQL for data querying, manipulation, and performance tuning in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, such as Nagios and ELK stack.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with ETL tools and processes
Experience with big data technologies and real-time data processing is a plus
Experience in working with agile methodology and following the best practices of the digital engineering team.
Python and Bash for scripting and automation.
Read, interpret, write, modify, and execute simple scripts (e. g. , PERL, VBS) on Windows system.
Practical experience generating process documentation and reports.
Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.

Main Recruitment Steps
Initial call: You will be contacted by MOL Recruitment via phone for a short chat.
Interview: You can expect two or a maximum of three interview rounds, where you can meet your direct manager, some experts from the team, ask your questions and present your skills and career path. We always make sure you receive timely feedback after each round.
Technical Assessment: You will either receive a take-home assignment after the first interview or be asked to solve an exercise on the spot at one of the interviews.
