Design and build data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing data efficiently from various internal and external sources

Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of data platforms, focusing on optimizing infrastructure and workflows

Collaborate with different teams to integrate data from multiple systems and ensure smooth data flow across platforms

Select and implement appropriate storage solutions, such as data lakes or cloud-based databases, to support organizational needs

Implement data security measures, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR or CCPA

Work with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver technical solutions accordingly

Track and resolve issues in data systems, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and effective backups

Support the organization’s digital transformation efforts by enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and other data-driven initiatives Elvárások / Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in data platform engineering, working with large-scale, complex data systems

Strong expertise with the Microsoft Data Stack, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database

Proficiency in building and optimizing data pipelines and workflows using ETL tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory

Solid understanding of cloud platforms and architecture, specifically Azure, with experience in networking principles

Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages for automation and data processing

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, especially using Azure DevOps

Strong knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance with regulations like GDPR or CCPA

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

Experience in the humanitarian or international development sector

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
