Main responsibilities:

• Giving guidelines for Data Engineers on building data models designed for Data Warehouse/Lake with big volume of data for Data Analytics use
• Organize data models to optimize the performance and simplify the model to calculate end to end KPI’s
• Deal with historical data requirements
• Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models
• Work with the respective business team to gather requirements for the database design and model
• Collaborate with stakeholders (data stewards, data engineers, data scientists) to design & build the database model to fit analysis
• Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models
• Updating and optimizing local and metadata models
• Help determine and manage data cleaning requirements
• Help determine data security needs and implement security solutions
• Follow best practices provided by the enterprise/Digital Team for data coding to ensure consistency within the system and audit requirements

About you

 

Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications: 

• Demonstrated experience in data warehouse modeling and optimization
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, data architecture computer systems, including SQL language
• Demonstrate knowledge on Data Warehouse Concepts: Kimball and Inmon Approach
• Assist, guide and share gained knowledge with Data Modelers and Data Architects

• Experience with data modeling software such as SQL Database Modeler or IBM InfoSphere, or erwin Data Modeler
• Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience working cross-functional teams to support solution of complex data architecture problems   
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to learn new data and software engineering technologies in short amount of time 
• Understanding of agile/scrum development processes and concepts 
• Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and manage multiple priorities 
• Able to work in matrix organization  
• Strong technical analysis and problem-solving skills related to data and technology solutions 
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate ideas, concepts and solutions to peers and leaders  
• Pragmatic and capable of solving complex issues, with technical intuition and attention to detail   

• Service-oriented, flexible, and approachable team player  
• Fluent in English (Other languages a plus) 

Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Modeling or relevant field  
• Experience in data modeling, data engineering, integration, data warehousing, business intelligence, business analytics, or comparable role with relevant technologies and tools (Informatica/IICS) 
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms 
• Familiar of data model requirements of PowerBi or similiar applications
• Experience in cloud-based data platforms (Informatica IISC/Snowflake is a plus) 

• Good knowledge of SQL and relational and non-relational databases technologies/concepts
