About the Role
We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Senior FinOps Expert to join Digital Factory. The new team member will keep track and optimize financial operations and IT operations cost management, ensuring that operational investments align with business objectives and deliver maximum value.
Main Responsibilities
Act as single point of contact for IT Operation cost tracking and overview.
Analyze and forecast Digital Factory Engineering’s operational spending.
Develop and implement cost optimization strategies.
Collabore with engineering and finance teams to establish effective cost management practices.
Provide detailed financial reporting and insights to senior leadership.
Identify opportunities for cost savings.
Monitor license usage.
Educate and guide team members on best practices in cloud financial management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Enable data-driven decision making.
Participate in Vendor management and negotiations.
About Your Experience and Skills
Education
University or college degree with specialization in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e. g. , FinOps Certified Practitioner) are a definite plus.
Experience
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, controlling and/or IT service operations, or a related role
Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing IT service costs.
Experience with IT cost management tools and platforms.
Professional and Technical Competencies
Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
Technical aptitude with familiarity in cloud infrastructure and services.
Ability to engage in conversations cloud tech and IT services.
Proficient in data analysis, with experience using tools like SQL and creating visualizations with BI platforms.
Practical experience in generating process documentation and reports.
Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer-centric solutions.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, with excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Hungarian and English for cross-functional collaboration.

Main Recruitment Steps
Initial call: You will be contacted by MOL Recruitment via phone for a short chat.
Interview: You can expect two or a maximum of three interview rounds, where you can meet your direct manager, some experts from the team, ask your questions and present your skills and career path. We always make sure you receive timely feedback after each round.
Technical Assessment: You will either receive a take-home assignment after the first interview or be asked to solve an exercise on the spot at one of the interviews.
