 As a General Ledger (GL) Accountant, you are involved in the transition of accounting processes from European entities to Hungary and actively shape our Solution Center Europe (SCE) in Budapest. General Ledger (GL) Accountant  Your responsibilities Be involved in day-to-day operations in the following process areas (not exhaustive)Manage Manual & Semi automatic postingsCalculate inventory adjustments, reconcile reports, calculate provisions, Balance Sheet: BankingBank statement posting to GL accountsFX transaction and perform postingDecide on Accounting treatment for deferred items, perform postingsAccrual and provision managementManage Profit & LossGeneral Ledger ClosingOwn and manage internal operational controls, Prepare documentation for auditor/tax authoritiesAs part of the General Ledger Accountant role, manage Asset Accounting related activities:Asset master data maintenance, setting up of asset classesManaging acquisitions, disposals, revaluation, depreciationAA closing activitiesBe adherent to agreed service levels, policies and proceduresIdentify, evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationshipProvide qualitative customer service Ensure that all process manuals/relevant work instructions are created and updated on a regular basis Your profile University degree preferably in Economics or Finance with major in accounting or equivalent qualification Experience in accounting (primarily GL in a SSC environment) is an advantage, but we are open to fresh graduates as well, who majored in financeTransition experience is beneficialGood understanding of the GL processes Continuous Improvement and Quality mindsetStrong customer orientationVery good English and German language skills (written and spoken), Hungarian skills are an advantageVery good knowledge of SAP FI Self-starting attitude and ability to work independentlyStrong team-player Ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right timeExcellent communication skills Your benefits with us It goes without saying that we offer attractive conditions such as: With us, you experience an SSC-start-up environment with all the possibilities to build it up together Flexible working arrangements Attractive remuneration, including special benefits, e. g.company events, fitness & health offers or modern co-working workplaces.
