Import-Export Manager

The Hungarian subsidiary, CooperVision CL Kft. , was founded in Gyál in 2005 and employs more than 1, 500 workers. We are currently looking for a colleague for Import-Export Manager position.
,- Continuous cooperation with planning, day-to-day coordination of work in order to meet customer expectations.
- Ensure all documentation complies with current legislation.
- Provide advice on processes and procedures in relation to export compliance;
- Communicate with import, export and related authorities, and customers and suppliers, in all related territories and countries as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.
- Liaison with external shipping companies and freight forwarders;
- Ensure charge recovery and dispute management are prioritised;
- Produce ad hoc reporting and investigation for Senior Management;
- Support company improvement projects, cooperate with local and global CooperVision departments
- Plan and implement import/ export strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the organization.
- Develop close links with Management, Overseas Agencies, Suppliers and Customers;
- Attend regular meetings with customers for service review, and new customer integration;
- Regular review of process and procedures and implementation of improvement strategies;
- Maintain and share with collegues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/ export law and procedures, tariffs and dutys, licenses and restriction.
- Ensure department achieves recognised levels of productivity as related to operational functions and meets customer satisfaction;
- Planning, supervising, and monitoring the roles of his direct reports (approx. 5 Supervisors, Managers), and monitoring the activities of all other indirect subordinates (approx. 100 head) in the packaging area.
- Develop Team Leaders, and ensure their focus on developing their direct reports, as part of an ongoing talent management and succession strategy.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logitics, Economics
- Customs advisor entitlement
- Min. 5 years experience required
- Confident, active English language skills
- A background within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
- Leadership attitude, effective communication towards all levels of the organization
- Technical understanding of major distribution technologies and processes.
- Understanding of major financial concepts including costing and budgeting
- Knowledge of computerized integrated management systems.
- Experience Ability to build and maintain strong networking relationships
- Proactive, supportive and solution-oriented behavior
- Oracle/JDA experience
- AEO knowledge
