Instructional Designer
Office location: Budapest, 13th district
Our client is a U. S. -owned intelligent automation software provider with cca. 200 co-workers in Hungary. With the growth of the Educational Services team in Budapest, we are seeking new team member to join on a full-time basis.
What will you do:
The Instructional Designer is responsible for the assessment, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of classroom/online, and web-based course content provided to meet the growing needs of the company’s training audiences.
The appropriate individual will be responsible for creating and implementing robust, innovative, engaging, and impactful content and training materials. Working together with a team of subject-matter experts and business partners, the Instructional Designer will manage multiple projects autonomously to take training objectives from concept to implementation.
The Instructional Designer will work with multiple geographical cultures across numerous product lines to create and manage a standardised approach to the creation, delivery and management of the company’s product training around the globe.
- Architecting technical training curricula for enterprise software solutions
- Assessing training needs, designing courses utilising adult learning principles, developing materials, implementing new courses, and evaluating effectiveness
- Work with subject-matter experts (SMEs), business owners, and stakeholders to transform expert knowledge into effective classroom, online and blended learning solutions
- Evaluate, repurpose, and rearchitect existing training content and materials into sound self-administered, self-paced learning modules
- Develop and manage project plans and timelines
- Develop multiple forms of training materials, such as course outlines, PowerPoint presentations, facilitator guides, student and exercise guides, handouts, online simulation exercises, video tutorials, and eLearning courses
- Record, edit and produce high-quality video content
- Work with management to determine the impact of training by staying connected with business partners, continually assessing feedback through evaluations, and peers
- Continually evaluate new tools and methods to support streamlined development processes, as directed.
What you need to have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree with an emphasis on education, training, e-learning, instructional technology, or related field
- 3 - 5 years' experience in instructional design and e-learning applications
- Proven experience with educational theory, specifically in adult learning methods
- Proven experience successfully designing and developing curriculum for enterprise-level software solutions
- Proficient with design and media development tools, such as the Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, audio and video editing tools, and HTML.
- Proficient with industry best practices for preparing content for a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent oral, written, listening, and presentation skills that demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at multiple technical skill levels
- Ability to travel up to 10%
