Junior Finance Analyst (Collection and Billing focus, 13rd district)

On behalf of our client operating in the global media sector, we are looking for a junior finance specialist.

Our client would like to provide growth opportunities and a long-term career for a dynamic candidate who already has experience in collection activites /billing but would be eager to expand this scope!

International team (Central Europe Finance Team) with a professional leader who has been strengthening the company for over 10 years, diverse scope of activity, supportive team – 13th district location, 2 days home office.

The mentioned team is partly located in Budapest and partly in other European locations, with the direct professional leader being remote.

The role includes the following tasks:

Billing & Collections – 30%

Check payments and manage cash collection for the covered business units

Review customer accounts to resolve discrepancies or disputes

Prepare billing documents for review and approval

Assist in preparing and reconciling accounts receivable

Creating aging reports

Revenue Management & Recognition – 30%

Month-End Closing & Reporting – 15%

Supporting month-end closing activities, such as revenue recognition

Withholding Tax (WHT) & Compliance – 5%

Inventory Management – 10%

Capitalization, amortization entries, prepayments, accruals, accelerated amortization calculations

Other Accounting Tasks – 10%

Requirements:

Existing experience in claims management, billing, or other financial support functions – minimum half a year

Advantageous to have an economics degree; background in finance and accounting studies

Confident English language skills (negotiation level both spoken and written; the entire selection process is conducted in English)

CEE regional foreign language knowledge is an advantage – Slovak, Czech, Romanian, Polish

Strong communication skills, problem-solving attitude

Proactivity

Experience in a matrix organization
