Senior Kotlin Software Engineer Opportunity

Join us as a Senior Kotlin Software Engineer in the dynamic world of an independent short-haul and medium-haul airline. With multiple flights per day and quick turnarounds, the day-to-day operations are never dull.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the introduction of new, cloud-native data and process APIs for the crew planning and assignment domain.

Design and implement RESTful and real-time events-based endpoints.

Enable migration to new systems and hosting platforms by decoupling client apps from third-party vendor applications.

Collaborate with a small, dedicated team of business process analysts and software engineers at the heart of crew operations.

Your Profile:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. 8+ years of experience building containerized, production-grade applications with Kotlin and Spring.

Extensive experience in API design and knowledge of REST API best practices, as well as eventing and event message handling.

Proficient in continuous integration/continuous deployment techniques and tools (GitHub Actions, Terraform).

Expert in Azure cloud platform (API Management, App Service, Functions).

Comfortable with Linux command shell to troubleshoot running critical production systems.

Honest communication skills, both written and spoken (English), and team spirit. EU resident and/or authorized to work in the EU (mandatory).

Willing and able to participate in our on-call support rotation every few weeks.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Risk- and Cost-Driven Architecture (RCDA).

Knowledge of DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK).

Experience with front-end frameworks (e. g. , React, Angular).
