This involves oversight of the contract management process, as well as development of specific standards, contract negotiations and document management.
The overall mission is to ensure legal compliance and in the meantime increase customer satisfaction and further improve the positive experience about the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Management of existing contracts including termination and prolongation deadlines
- Coordination between our legal consulting firm and HQ legal counsel, sales representative and partners for all new contracts and sales agreements
- Oversee organizational contract development and management activities and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
- Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained. Establish or further improve that database.
- Together with our legal consulting firm develop standards for contracts, including payment terms, general language and provisions,
- Support in drafting contractual provisions and collect contractual needs based on strategy discussions, senior management input, and organizational needs and expectations.
- Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.
- Interface with legal consulting firms.
- Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations together with sales representative.
- Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets.
- Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues.
- Aligning with HQ regulatory affairs on the medical device registration or any registrations needed by EMEA partner business.
- Provide weekly reports about contract management department to Commercial and Operational Director - Partner Business EMEA,
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen cooperation, maintain smooth operation and boost all commercial activities in compliance with the directives of the legal and compliance teams.
- Previous working experience as a Contract Manager or as Legal Assistant for 2-3 years
- University level degree in relevant field
- Advantages: experience of working in a multinational company and/or in the ophthalmic industry; experience with Middle East and/or Africa market conditions
- Excellent organizational skills and on have a keen eye on details
- Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.
- Clearly communicate verbally, in writing and using presentation tools
- Ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing) - French, Russian or Arabic language knowledge is an advantage
