We are searching for a motivated colleague, who will make an impact and participate shaping the future of MOL Group’s Strategy Department,
as a
M&A Project Manager
Scope:
The position is responsible for senior-level coordination and management of MOL Group's inorganic business development projects across Upstream, Downstream, and Non-core segments, ensuring execution within the established timeframes and budget constraints.
Main responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Execution: Monitor, identify, and evaluate acquisition and divestiture opportunities across Upstream, Downstream, and Non-core segments, ensuring alignment with MOL Group strategy. Prioritize market opportunities through valuation, risk assessment, and strategic fit analysis.
Project & Team Management: Lead and coordinate internal and external project teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation, cost control, and timely execution while maintaining high-quality standards in line with industry best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Negotiation: Drive networking, structuring, and negotiation efforts, strengthening relationships with authorities, partners, and decision-makers to facilitate successful transactions.
Due Diligence & Decision Support: Oversee due diligence processes, transaction documentation, and internal decision-making materials, ensuring comprehensive analysis for well-founded strategic decisions.
Collaboration & Talent Development: Foster effective cooperation among internal and external stakeholders, contributing to team growth through training, mentorship, and recruitment of junior colleagues.
Performance Evaluation & Special Assignments: Ensure project objectives are met through post-implementation reviews and impact assessments. Execute special tasks assigned by senior leadership, supporting MOL Group’s strategic growth initiatives.
Requirements:
University Degree - Economics and/or Engineering
6+ years professional experience in related area
Strategic and critical thinking, flexibility, problem solving skills
Project management skills, ability to work independently
Deep knowledge / experience in oil and gas industry (MOL Group), enterprise evaluation, finance and legal
Ability to handle confidential information
Fluent English knowledge
User-level MS Office knowledge
