Procurement Engineer

Responsibilities

Supplier Management

Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local suppliers (steel, copper, plating, packaging).

Manage daily supplier communication, order placement, delivery tracking, and quality feedback.

Assess supplier performance regularly and optimize supplier resources.

Conduct annual price negotiations with suppliers.

Procurement Execution

Develop procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory levels.

Negotiate procurement contracts to ensure fair pricing and timely deliveries.

Monitor procurement processes and address any issues.

Responsible for the procurement of office facilities and equipment, and assist in the procurement of production equipment

Requirements

Preferred relevant educational background (vocational school, technical college, or university degree preferred) in supply chain management, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, etc.

3+ years of procurement/supply chain experience, preferably having experience in metal materials procurement, such as steel and copper.

Fluent in English (working proficiency).

Possess a basic knowledge of metal raw materials such as copper and steel, and familiar with the Hungarian market.

Strong negotiation skills and communication abilities, capable of effective interaction and negotiation with suppliers.

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in MS Office.
