About the Role
We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Junior Mobile Backend Software Engineer to join Digital Factory. The new team member will be part of a dynamic development team, working primarily with Java and Spring Boot to design and implement backend services that support mobile applications. The role also includes creating and maintaining RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with front-end mobile apps. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn. The Junior Engineer should have the ability to write simple, maintainable code and be eager to grow in the backend development space.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services for mobile applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Implement RESTful APIs to support mobile applications, ensuring data flows efficiently and securely.
Collaborate with front-end mobile developers to ensure seamless integration of backend services with mobile interfaces.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices.
Participate in code reviews, applying feedback to continuously improve coding skills and standards.
Troubleshoot and debug issues in backend services and API interactions.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks and bugs in the backend system.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, particularly in mobile backend technologies.
Engage in technical discussions, asking questions to enhance understanding of mobile backend systems and Java development.
Work closely with senior developers, mobile developers, and product teams to understand project requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Provide clear communication on progress, challenges, and ideas for improving backend performance and reliability.
About Your Experience and Skills
Education
University or college degree with specialization in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent.
Experience
0-2 years of experience in software development, particularly in Java backend development.
Hands-on experience with RESTful API implementation and backend system integration.
Previous exposure to mobile application backend systems is a plus.
Professional and Technical Competencies
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java and experience with Spring Boot framework.
Understanding of RESTful API design principles and hands-on experience in building APIs.
Exposure to version control systems, preferably Git.
Experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, and basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Salesforce.com / core and CRM system knowledge is a plus.
Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
Soft Skills

Main Recruitment Steps
Initial call: You will be contacted by MOL Recruitment via phone for a short chat.
Interview: You can expect two or a maximum of three interview rounds, where you can meet your direct manager, some experts from the team, ask your questions and present your skills and career path. We always make sure you receive timely feedback after each round.
Technical Assessment: You will either receive a take-home assignment after the first interview or be asked to solve an exercise on the spot at one of the interviews.
