Your new role
- Deliver operational support for a range of enterprise system monitoring and management tools,
- Work closely with other infrastructure support teams to identify monitoring needs, best practices, and enhancements for servers, network devices, operating systems, database engines, inter/intranet services, and applications.
- Coordinate updates with EAS on ITSM to the central monitoring environment (ESM) as requested by clients in infrastructure and application support, aiming to boost enterprise operational reliability.
- Train and mentor analysts in other IT support organizations on the use and benefits of the supported suite of monitoring tools to maximize monitoring services.
- Advise and guide customer analysts and users on effective monitoring and reporting techniques.
- Ensure security and control measures related to the monitoring tools and services are maintained to provide a secure, reliable service.
What you'll need to succeed
Over 3 years of experience in the following skillsets:- Monitoring tools and concepts, such as synthetic monitoring and application performance monitoring.
- Understanding of application architecture and hybrid cloud/on-premise systems.
- Proficiency in coding/scripting languages, including infrastructure such as code, PowerShell, Puppet, Ansible, Splunk query language, Python, and JavaScript.
