We are assisting a new precision machinery manufacturing company in Hungary in their search for a Procurement Engineer.

Pozíció leírása / Job description

• Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local suppliers (steel, copper, plating, packaging)
• Manage daily supplier communication, order placement, delivery tracking,  and quality feedback
• Assess supplier performance regularly and optimize supplier resources
• Conduct annual price negotiations with suppliers
• Develop procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory levels
• Negotiate procurement contracts to ensure fair pricing and timely deliveries
• Monitor procurement processes and address any issues
• Responsible for the procurement of office facilities and equipment, and assist in the procurement of production equipment
• Complete other tasks assigned by management

Elvárások / Requirements

• Relevant educational background (vocational school, technical college, or university degree preferred) in supply chain  management, logistics, or manufacturing
• 3+ years of procurement/supply chain experience, preferably having experience in metal materials procurement, such as steel and copper
• Fluent in English and Hungarian (working proficiency)
• Familiarity with the Hungarian market, strong supplier networks, and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and cost control
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office
