ECOPRO BM, which was spun off from its parent company ECOPRO in 2016 by means of physical division for specialization in cathode materials, is a company which leads the high-volume cathode material market at home and abroad based on its success in developing and mass-producing high-nickel cathode materials for the first time in Korea.

Based on the infinite future growth potential of lithium-ion secondary cells, such as electric vehicles (EV), electric energy storage systems (ESS), uninterruptible power supply (UPS), smart grids, and ones for aerospace, medical and military purposes, ECOPRO BM will grow into a core material company that makes Korea the leader of next-generation battery market.

Objectives of this Role

Researching and identifying prospective suppliers

Liaising with internal teams and maintaining strong supplier relations

Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria

Secure supplies of the raw material maintaining optimized stock level

Responsibilities

Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions

Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements

Monitor supplier performances and resolve issues and concerns

Analyze industry, demand trends, and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies (reports, presentation etc. )

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

3 years relevant working experience

Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills along with analytical thinking and problem-solving ability

Fluent English especially in speaking and writing (intermediate level or higher)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or similar field

Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role especially in chemical or battery industry

experience in custom clearance work

Capability of other second language; Korean, German or French.

Proficiency in other business application software, purchasing, bidding and resource planning system
