As a Python Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing backend services for SEON’s Data Enrichment product area. You will bridge the gap between foundational engineering contributions and senior technical leadership, driving system improvements, mentoring team members, and delivering reliable and scalable systems integral to SEON’s fraud prevention solutions.  

This role will report to the Software Engineering Team Lead and offer flexibility in our Budapest office under a hybrid work schedule.

• Strong expertise in Python, including RESTful API design.
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, proxies, and system architecture.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e. g. , AWS) and containerization technologies (e. g. , Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to identify, design, and implement scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience mentoring and supporting other engineers.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Nice to have: 

• Experience with monitoring tools (e. g. , Kibana) and CI/CD workflows (e. g. , GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with AWS services, including DynamoDB, Lambda, and Auto Scaling Groups.
• Knowledge of additional technologies and platforms, such as: ElasticSearch, Redis, ArgoCD
