About the Role
We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Senior Data Architect to join Digital Factory. The new team member is part of our digital engineering team, and the focus of this role is on contributing through the whole data product lifecycle helping MOL DF Data Squads to deliver business value via table structure and data transformation design to ensure stability and technical integrity of our data tech stack. Furthermore, this role performs QA, guide and consult MOL DF Data Engineers and BI Developers as the role must oversee the overall data model of the MOL CSDL.
Main Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain data architecture solutions to support business objectives and decision-making processes.
Develop and optimize data models for data warehousing and analytics, ensuring scalability and performance.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to support discovery, detailed assessment, and low-level design phases of data solutions.
Lead efforts in data integration, transformation, and migration using a variety of ETL technologies (Extract, Transform, Load).
Ensure high standards for data quality, consistency, and security across systems and processes.
Design and implement data pipelines and workflows to process large datasets efficiently.
Support ongoing improvements and maintenance of the Data Tech Stack solutions, ensuring its alignment with business needs.
Work closely with teams to ensure best practices in data architecture and management are implemented.
Provide guidance on the adoption of Databricks for advanced analytics and data processing tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related technical issues and provide technical guidance.
Conduct regular performance assessments and optimization of existing SQL databases and related systems.
Design and manage code quality framework and KPIs.
About Your Experience and Skills
Education
University or college degree with specialization in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent
Experience
Experience in designing and developing scalable and efficient ETL processes Proficiency in creating and managing complex data integration processes to ensure seamless data flows across systems.

Optimizing data warehouse performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, partitioning, and caching.
Requirements gathering, use case documentation, business analysis, systems design, and integration.
Experience in data analysis, conversion, migration, interfaces, and reports.
Familiarity with gap analysis and blueprint development.
Deep experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms like MS Synapse Analytics Suite and Databricks.
Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
Practical knowledge of development best practices, including CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
Strong leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts. And to mentor and coach junior developers.
Professional and Technical Competencies
Proficiency in SQL, including complex querying, optimization, performance tuning, and database administration tasks.
Expertise in ETL tools and frameworks such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
Data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema for scalable and optimized data structures.
Mastery of data architecture and frameworks, including governance, KPIs, and overseeing the entire data landscape.
In-depth knowledge of database administration: performance tuning, indexing strategies, and data partitioning across platforms like Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of big data platforms and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, and cloud-based data services (e. g. , MS Synapse, MS Fabric).
Deep understanding of NoSQL databases (e. g. , MongoDB, Cassandra).
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and PowerShell for ETL automation, workflow scheduling, and data quality checks.
Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or OBIEE for dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and related data services (e. g. , AWS Redshift, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Google BigQuery).
Knowledge of data governance principles, metadata management, and implementing data quality processes.
Experience with system design using configuration and/or customization.
Cloud Data & Analytics technologies: Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Power BI.
Development & Automation technologies: Python, ANSI SQL, T-SQL, CI/CD Pipelines (Azure, Databricks), Azure DevOps.
Architecture & Design technologies: Sparx EA tool experience.
Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence.
