Role Overview: As a data science & operations research specialist, you will apply quantitative modeling, simulation techniques, and optimization methods to analyze power market dynamics and regulatory scenarios. Using advanced data science tools and operations research frameworks, you will generate actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions in the US energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement regulatory scenarios using optimization and simulation modeling,

Develop and run market simulations to analyze energy pricing, demand, and policy impacts,

Apply operations research techniques to improve energy market forecasting and decision-making,

Use tools like Plexos (or similar) to model market dynamics and generate insights,

Conduct quantitative analysis of trends in the US Eastern Interconnect energy market,

Support business strategy with data-driven scenario analysis and optimization models,

Contribute expert insights to economic publications and regulatory discussions,

Monitor policy changes and market developments, assessing their impact on pricing and operations,

Represent the company in industry conferences, regulatory forums, and stakeholder discussions.

Requirements:

University degree in an analytical field (such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics),

Python programming knowledge,

Operations research experience,

Strong communication skills,

Confident English language knowledge,

Experience in the energy market is not required, but is an advantage.
