Objective of the position:

The Senior production Engineer is ultimately responsible for planning and delivery of daily, weekly and monthly plans for gas and condensate production. He/she is responsible for base data management and accuracy reporting to the mining authorities. Also, the position oversees data acquisition execution program and collecting well information. The Senior production Engineer ensures that there is an adequate database in place which will allow historical production analysis.

The Senior production engineer will be optimizing production processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring safe, sustainable, and cost-effective gas and condensate production. The candidate will have extensive experience in gas processing technologies and a proven ability to manage complex production challenges. This position requires in-depth knowledge of gas processing technologies, hands-on experience in troubleshooting, and a commitment to ensuring safe, reliable, and sustainable operations.

The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

The Senior production Engineer will hold the position of a deputy responsible technical manager for production.

Compliance with HSE norms:

• The Senior Production Engineer must comply with requirements of safety, Health and Environmental Hungary and to obey the corporate policy of JKX plc. (Folyopart Kft. ) on Safety, Health and the Environment.
• Promote and enforce adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for operational hazards.
• Ensure that all production activities comply with HSE policies, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and audits to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Job Duties:

1. Production Optimization:
   • Monitor and manage daily production activities to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations.
   • Optimize the performance of gas processing systems, including gas sweetening, dehydration, compression, and fractionation.
   • Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization.
   • Develop and implement strategies to enhance gas well productivity, reduce downtime, and improve recovery rates.
   • Coordinate the planning, design, approval and execution of well production enhancement activities in cooperation with Well Services.
   • Ensure delivery of the short-term production forecast and the active follow up of performance against plan, in conjunction with the reservoir engineer.
   • Provide efficient well/reservoir monitoring and surveillance activities and manage the data acquisition and surveillance plan.
   • Optimize the performance of all production wells, including data gathering, well testing, inflow/outflow modeling, identifying and executing remedial treatments to optimize productivity.
   • Identify the appropriate data gathering methods, techniques and tools, and the interpretation methodology, to achieve the desired objectives
   • Work in a multi-disciplined team environment to maximize the value of current producing assets and re-development projects.

2. Technical Expertise:
   • Conduct production system analyses using industry-standard software and techniques.
   • Analyze operational data and implement strategies to improve throughput, reduce energy consumption, and enhance overall plant efficiency.
   • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production processes to maintain continuous and stable operations.
   • Provide expert technical support to operations teams, addressing issues related to gas processing technologies such as compression, dehydration, gas sweetening, and NGL recovery.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process challenges, minimizing downtime and maximizing throughput.
   • Analyze operational data and implement strategies to improve throughput, reduce energy consumption, and enhance overall plant efficiency.
   • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production processes to maintain continuous and stable operations.
   • Deep understanding of gas processing technologies, including NGL recovery, gas treatment, and LNG processes.
   • Proficiency with process simulation software (e. g. , Aspen HYSYS, ProMax).

3. Operational Support:
   • Provide technical guidance to field operations teams to ensure efficient and safe production activities.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues, including equipment malfunctions and flow assurance challenges.
   • Develop and execute strategies to improve plant reliability, reduce operational costs, and enhance energy efficiency.
   • Conduct root cause analyses of production issues and implement corrective actions.

4. Project Management:
   • Lead and manage projects related to production enhancement, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
   • Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables.

Work Experience:

• Oil and Gas University or institute high education (technical). Have formal skill in Petroleum and / or Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid Hungarian certificate to serve as a Responsible technical Manager
• At least 8 years of experience in production engineering and technology activities.
• At least 5 years’ experience with gas/condensate processing plant technology.
• Solid understanding of cost-effectiveness and general commercial business issues.
• Solid understanding of technological regimes and solutions for massive matrix and fractured carbonate reservoirs.
• Solid appreciation of formal assurance processes and well delivery requirements.
• Knowledge of risk management, portfolio management and HSE management.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in production engineering software
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex production challenges.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international regulations and standards in the gas production industry.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hungarian, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
