We seek for a

SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER

to contribute technical expertise to analytical tasks to the Group Subsurface Team and dynamic reservoir modelling, to deliver reservoir engineering solutions to company globally, to evaluate business development opportunities.

Scope of the position:

Work independently on assigned projects.

Interface with internal stakeholders on Reservoir En­gineering topics and occasionally with external stakeholder as part of a team lead by the Country Manager or Group Subsurface Manager.

Support a variety of reservoir engineering activities, including late appraisal to development reservoir studies and PRMS/SPE reserve estimations.

Collaborate with integrated subsurface teams, and occasionally with operations staff and other internal teams.

Key responsibilities:

Support Reservoir Engineering activities for specific operations and projects across CEE and International regions.

Contribute to field development studies including pre-simulation studies, dynamic reservoir model builds (both material balance and 3D numerical modelling), conceptual development planning (well counts, spacing, etc. ), and production forecasting.

Assist in preparing subsurface sections of Field Development Plans (FDPs).

Support geoscience teams with static model builds, as necessary.

Provide technical support for core studies, including PVT analyses and associated studies.

Contribute to well test planning, operations office support, and well test analyses for development, exploration & appraisal wells.

Assist with Business Development assessments, as necessary.

Support QA/QC of Reservoir Engineering deliverables, and with stage-gate and technical as­surance processes.

Assist in internal reserve assessments in compliance with SPE guidelines and PRMS in collaboration with relevant Business Units.

Occasionally interface with Partners during Technical Committee Meetings (TCMs) related to CEE and International assets.

Collaborate with the integrated project teamsand OpCos to ensure full collaboration and effective communication of Reservoir Engineering activities.

Provide mentoring to junior staff, and contribute to the ongoing Reservoir Engineering best practices and technical excellence

Requirements:

BSc. in Engineering (Chemical, mechanical, petroleum field) or higher

Minimum 10 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering studies and operations, including minimum 5 years with a recognized operator

Prior experience with mentoring of young En­gineers. An effective team player with drive, initiative, integrity.

Multi-cultural experience and excel­lent communication skills

Experience with stage gate processes, de­velopment studies, field development plans (FDPs), and reserve management systems.

Evidence of analytical and classical RE skills.

Proven track record of building and running dynamic simulation models for the purpose of field development and production optimisation.

Prior experience with mature field rede­velopment.

Experience with Eclipse, Petrel RE, Kappa suite, Petroleum Experts suite, PVTSim, as well as, MS Office suite.

Fluent English (Hungarian is not needed).

Basic knowledge of petroleum economics
