We seek for a

Wellsite Geologist

to join our Wellsite Services of Subsurface MOL Hungary in order to provide well-site supervision, quality control and fulfilment proofing. Supervise and control the subsurface investments (drilling, well completion, well-workover, well test activity) of MOL Plc. and its organizations and partners, complying with the geological and geophysical data acquisition tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

Adopts the data acquisition program into well site operational sequence and provides the detailed mudlogging data acquisition program based on the geological-technical plans.

Compiles and organizes the Job Orders and conducts the job order related processes.

Analyses, evaluates, and describes formations while drilling, using cuttings, gas, formation evaluation measurement while drilling and wireline data. Defines the formation tops.

Observes all shows, identifies, records hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon contents and evaluates their significance. Elaborates mud gas & HC show interpretation.

Takes on site decision to initiate coring, intermediate logging, to continue or halt drilling, select section or well TD, etc. , after the approval of Operation Geologist.

Supervises geological operations and various well data acquisitions (mudlogging, logging, LWD, coring, perforation, well testing), control quality and validate the data. Provides performance evaluation on the supervised contractors.

Controls and requires the preparation of the forthcoming jobs based on the contracts, regulations, and international standards.

Incorporates HSE requirements and improves the HSE awareness in daily geological operations.

Supervises the conditioning, labelling and transportation of all the rocks and fluid samples collected during the course of drilling.

Write up and keep updated all the documents and reports regarding well monitoring and geological operations.

Liaises and cooperates with other supervisors and company representatives on site during the course of project.

The ideal candidate:

has a BsC/MsC in Geosciences or related technical field.

gained minimum of 3 years of experience as wellsite geologist or mudlogging.

is a person with excellent oral and written communication in Hungarian (and minimum intermediate level in English).

has good coordinating skills, ability to cope with working under pressure,

has analytical and critical way of thinking and cooperative personality.

obtained a driving licence in category B.
